Introduction to Topic:
For your introduction, you should write a 150-word paragraph which clearly explains the topic, the importance of further research, ethical implications, and how the topic relates to one’s academic and professional pursuits. Make sure you effectively inform the reader of the rationale behind your topic.
Thesis statement: Write a direct and concise thesis statement, which will become the point or perspective you will argue or prove in the Final Research Project. A thesis statement should be a single declarative sentence that makes one point in 25 words or less. The thesis statement must appear within the introduction paragraph.
Annotated Bibliography: To help prepare for your Final Research Project, write an annotated bibliography to indicate the quality of the sources you have read. The bibliography must include no less than five scholarly sources that will be used to support the major points of the Final Research Project. Critical thinking skills need to be demonstrated by accurately interpreting evidence used to support various positions of the topic. Please make sure to provide full reference information in accordance with APA style. Write a brief paragraph (around 150 words) summarizing the source and explaining how it is pertinent and relevant to the topic of the project and how each source will support your thesis statement. Title of paper
Student’s name
Course name and number
Instructor’s name
Date submitted
Must use at least five scholarly sources.
Must document all sources in APA style

all of the items in the details must be included, not just an annotated bibliography. I will be requesting that the person who receives this order be the writer for the final paper also. I will be putting in that order very soon. If you have any questions please contact me as soon as possible. the references do not have to come from ashford’s library. I have included an example of the AB.

Crime and Immigration

My class is Scientific Revolution within the Humanities department. Here are some instructions as what i was told to do. Other than the instructions below, you are pretty much free to write within Crime and Immigration.

Overall, you want to think about how science has become important to the way we understand crime and immigration – but in what way? What effect does a scientific analysis of criminals or immigrants have on our treatment of these groups? Do you think scientific studies have linked these topics in our minds(i.e. do we associate some immigrant groups as being natural criminals)? I would start by looking at a few classical readings. Perhaps start with Cesare Lombroso’s work (you can find most on google). Also utilize the Foucalt reading we discussed in class. A JSTOR search would be very useful here as well.

Hope this provides a better understanding and direction for the 10 page research paper.

Elasticity and Its Application

Over the last year your boss has noticed that it would be useful for your firm to understand how consumers behave when variables in the market change and how these changes affect the total revenue for your product. You have been asked to do an analysis for your product, Good A, by addressing the following questions and reporting the results to your boss in a formal paper.

Define the price elasticity of demand? What information does it provide? How is it calculated?

Define the income elasticity of demand? What information does it provide? How is it calculated?

Define the cross-price elasticity of demand? What information does it provide? How is it calculated?

What is total revenue? How is it calculated?

Define elastic, inelastic, and unitary elasticity means. How are these related to total revenue? Explain your answers.

With respect to the price elasticity of demand, construct a graph using the data in Figure1. Illustrate the ranges on the demand curve that indicate elastic, inelastic, and unitary elasticity. Explain your answers. Enter non-numerical responses in the same worksheet using textboxes.

Calculate the total revenue for each level of demand and post into the table, Figure 1. (Copy and paste this table into the Microsoft Word document that will form part of your submission.)

Using the midpoints formula presented in the textbook, calculate the price elasticity coefficient for each price level, starting with the coefficient for the $4 to $6 level. For each coefficient, indicate each type of elasticity: elastic demand, inelastic demand, or unitary demand. Post your answers into the table, Figure 1.

Assume that the income of consumers changes by 10%, and as a result the quantity demanded for Good A changes by 8%. What is the income elasticity of demand for Good A? What does this mean for your company?

Assume that the price of competing Good B decreases by 5% and as a result, the quantity demand for Good A decreases by 8%. What is the cross-price elasticity for your product? What type of goods are Good A and Good B?

You are an information system security professional for CCS International, a company that provides IT personnel for a variety of government and private contracts. The organization to which you are currently contracted hires a new chief security officer (CSO) after the previous CSO retires. Although the new CSO is in charge of security for the organization’s data assets, networks, and computer systems, her background and most recent experience is in physical security, and she knows very little about information security. Your manager explains that you have been assigned the task of preparing an information brief for the new CSO, which will provide her with the basics of cyber security, acquaints her with the current threats facing your organization’s data infrastructure, and the legal issues related to protecting the enterprise. Prepare a slide presentation covering (at a minimum) the following topics:

What is cyber security, and what are some of its key concepts?
What are the most significant threats to your data, and what are some of the root causes of those threats?
Are cyber criminals a real danger to your enterprise? Why or why not?
What is risk management, and how can the risk management process help you protect your infrastructure and data?
What are some computer security best practices that you would recommend, and how will they help protect your IT assets?
If your organization does become a victim of a cyber-crime or a security incident, how will you respond? What types of evidence would be important to your investigation, and how would they be used? What would law enforcement’s role be in your incident response plan?
Are there any laws at the local, state, federal, or even international level that protect your organization by imposing penalties on cyber criminals? Provide at least one example of a cyber-crime court case, and explain both its outcome and its significance.
What do you need from the CSO to best protect your organization? Justify your requests.

Prepare a 15- to 20-slide presentation addressing the scenario and covering the topics above. Ensure that you create a title slide for your presentation (not included in the 15- to 20-slide count) displaying your name, the course title, and the date of submission. Be sure to use a background and fonts appropriate for your meeting with the CSO.

Prepare a script to go along with the slide presentation that could be read to provide an in-depth discussion of the topics highlighted on the slides. Research the topics above, using your textbook, information provided in class, and resources provided by the UMUC library or textbooks from previous courses. Your script should be written in an academic format, should be logically organized (e.g., introduction, body, and conclusion), and should include the following:

a cover page with your name, the course title, and the date of submission
an introductory section that explains the purpose of the presentation
the body of the paper, addressing the topics discussed in your slides
a conclusion section that summarizes your discussions
a References page in which you reference the text or other sources, which must be properly documented and cited, using APA formatting

The script must be a minimum of 10 double-spaced, computer-generated pages in length, using a 12-point font, with 1-inch page margins (top, bottom, right, and left). There must also be a cover page and a References page; these two pages will not count toward the required page total.

Organizational Change

Evaluating and Sustaining Improvement
To prepare:
1. Review the evaluation tools presented in the Learning Resources and how the tools can be used to promote sustainability.
2. Select a measurement mechanism that can be used to evaluate your quality improvement initiative. You may wish to conduct additional research on the use of measurement mechanisms to sustain outcomes of improvement initiatives.
3. Consider the influence of leadership and improvement teams in sustaining improvement efforts. Ask yourself: What specific strategies can leaders and my improvement team use to sustain our improvement initiative?
Assignment: write a cohesive scholarly paper that addresses the following:
• Evaluate the influence of leadership and improvement teams in sustaining improvement efforts. Present a succinct analysis of three or more strategies leaders and teams can use in your response.

U.S House Representatives and U.S Senate

Thoroughly discuss and explain in detail the differences between the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate (e.g., power, authority, procedures, etc.).
Then completely discuss and explain in detail the differences between being a member of the U.S. House of Representatives and being a member of the U.S. Senate.

Applied Epidemiology

Identify a disaster that led to a population health issue. Consider this disaster through the lens of an epidemiologist, using the information presented in the Learning Resources to examine the epidemiological considerations resulting from the disaster. Conduct additional research as necessary using credible websites.
• Ask yourself, “What factors made the community’s and/or nation’s response effective or ineffective? What aspects of disaster planning or emergency preparedness did the community have in place that helped it cope with the disaster and resulting population health issue?”
Assignment: write a cohesive scholarly paper that addresses the following:
• Identify the disaster and resulting population health issue.
• Describe the epidemiological considerations resulting from this disaster. Support your response with specific examples and evidence from the literature.
• Discuss the factors that made the community’s and/or nation’s response effective or ineffective.

Assignment: Write regarding the statement and questions from the view of a U.S. Army leader. You had a boss make a decision that lead to people dying in combat. The long term problems are someone losing their life, their families suffering, and loss of trust in the person who made that decision. The short term problems are loss of confidence, lack of operational management, and advances made by enemy forces. Expand on those short & long term problems. Review the following for the paper: “If the people who make the decisions are the people who will also bear the consequences of those decisions, perhaps better decisions will result.”
John Abrams, The Company We Keep: Reinventing Small Business for People, Community and Place

We have all suffered the effects of poor decision-making by a boss. Often the bad decision was made in haste or without regard to the impact it would have on those who had to live with the decision.

What is one of the worst decisions you have had to deal with in the work environment? What was the short term impact? What was the long term impact?
